Four Tips For Taking Great Photos With The Canon IXUS 850
Taking quality pictures is never easy, even when you have a machine like the Canon Ixus 850 to help you along. Maybe you just got your camera, or have had it for a while, and you just can't figure out what's going wrong. Whatever seems to be the problem, there are some simple tips that can improve your photography quite a bit. Hopefully, you'll soon be taking the pictures you once envied others' ability to produce.
First and foremost, don't stand back from your subject. In order to get the best shot with the Canon Ixus 850, you're going to have to be realistic about what you're trying to accomplish. Most beginners especially will stand way back from their subject and then wonder why the shot is unfocused and distant. Don't leave extra space in the Canon Ixus 850's camera frame; fill it up with the object of your lens. The best shots can be reshaped or trimmed later, but if your image is too far away then it's just lost. There's no way you can blow it up once the picture is taken.
Secondly, point the lens of the Canon IXUS 850 in one direction at a time. This may seem absurd, as it would seem that you can only focus on one subject at a time, but if you vacillate between two subjects, then you won't get either of them. Decide which will be the primary subject and focus on it with the Canon IXUS 850. One object, person or thing can accurately portray what you feel when you look at a particular scene.
Thirdly, leave the background of the pictures you take with the Canon IXUS 850 as simple as possible so they won't detract from the photo. It's easiest for others to understand what you saw when you took the shot with the Canon IXUS 850 if there isn't a lot of competition from the surrounding elements. In fact, all things besides the subject of the photo are not only secondary, but will ruin the picture if allowed to occupy the wrong space.
The last tip is to put the object of pictures taken with the Canon IXUS 850 exactly where you want them. You don't have to put the subject at the exact center; you should put it wherever it would best be maximized to avoid blandness. A simple but effective method is the rule of thirds, which dictates that you see your screen as thirds and align your subject accordingly. Every time you take a picture, line up the subject against that imaginary grid and see if it doesn't improve your pictures.
These are four basic tips to help you improve shots taken with the Canon IXUS 850 or any other camera, traditional or digital. Which camera should i buy?
I'm 14 years old and i'm considering buying a digital camera. I'm going to india next week and realized i should buy a camera to bring with me ( my family doesn't own any cameras!). But i'm stuck in between two :/ i almost never take pictures... yes on my iPhone i snap a few pictures, but i don't know much about cameras. So i was reading a magazine that recommended Canon Ixus 230, which was quite pricey, but it looked great etc, cost about 275 $. I then looked at a fairly cheaper one Samsung St65 which of course isn't as good but i really need a camera that will take some nice pictures while i'm in india and i'll probably use it afterwards too for when i go traveling etc :) please help i need to find out for tomorrow!!!!!! :O
i forgot to add that i have about 400 $, but don't know if i wanna spend them on a camera :/

ok im just a beginner ok i love photography i don't even have a camera now [ its really bad a guy love photography but we don't even have a basic point and shoot camera errr..]
